Yes I'm at home. The thing is I've already been out, ha. This was some long day tho. I opened today again...friggin Evan was half an hr late. But I guess it's like learnin to swim by just gettin tossed into the deep end first :P I finally got a name tag lanyard. Of course it was busy. It was good tho, the Samsung rep and the Epson rep were there again and I hung with Evan, Annie, L, Shane, and Ryan. Work goes so much faster when you've got ppl you like around.

So, I AM on commission! This whole time I'm like, lalala I don't hafta really sell that hard cuz I'm not on commission...I'm part-time, seasonal, and in no way a Product Expert. Evan checked the daily sales reports and apparently I'm gettin commissions with the stuff I sold! I'm like, don't even mess around. He's a sales associate and on base wage but I'm on commission?? Out of the two of us, he should be the Product Expert. Doesn't really make sense. But I guess I hafta find out for sure and ask the manager tomorrow. Oh god, I don't wanna be on commission.

Such is life. I got off at 4ish so havin the rest of the day free was nice. Actually all I did was chill for a while then eat dinner then head out to BP for drinks and watch the hockey game with G and P, and L on the phone later. That was some times cuz me and P finally got out together. Leafs won :) We had such good talks and laughs. "Which one of the blondes do you want?" "WHAT??" "Hair colour! Which kind of blonde do you want!" Hahaha.

And that's the extent of my fun since always work weekends and that means I can't go shoppin or hit the clubs cuz of the hrs. All I can settle for is the sports bar til 11 pm, haha. Sad.

Work tomorrow at 11, therefore up at 10. Fuckin hell, I'm there from open til close. They still haven't done the schedule for the week but I've asked one of the managers for a later shift on Sun cuz of my bday ;)

OK I'm tired and I'm sure you're tired of readin this crap so I'ma peace out.

I have a headache. Probably cuz I couldn't sleep til 3 am, then had to get up at 8:30, then worked til past 4. Yeah not only did I hafta OPEN by MYSELF (I didn't even know what to do), I stayed about 20 mins extra after my shift. I figured that makes up for whatever (messin up/not really doin much...I dunno, sometimes I feel guilty for bein paid when I'm basically standin around). OK I've never opened on my own...actually, I don't think I've ever opened, period. I'm thinkin, that's alright, nobody'll come in at 10 in the morning to shop on a weekday...at least not til maybe noon and then someone else will be comin in and I won't be alone. Lucky me, I got more customers than I have ever gotten. Yes, only cuz I was the only one there but still. I was so nervous doin point-of-sales. But I did fine, except not imprinting this girl's credit card cuz somethin was wrong with it and I had to input the number manually. Ah well. Feels good to add purchases to my sales numbers. No PSPs tho :P

You know what? I was like all concerned before about sellin but now I realize that I'm not on commission and it's the customers' prerogative to buy PSP with their stuff, so what am I scared of? :P I don't have sales goals to meet and I'm seasonal so the PSP percentage expectation can't be high. The thing to be nervous about is knowin your shit. I had to go study cameras online yesterday to familiarize myself better with our in-store products. Geez. I'm back in school. There was a Virgin Mobile rep in today too so I hafta read up on their plans and whatnot too. But I got a freebie Virgin lip balm. Strawberry :) It says "I'm the balm", haha.

Me and P didn't even get together yesterday. Neither of us really wanted to leave the house. It was "bum-bitingly cold" as she said, haha.

It's Lionel's bday today. Happy bday, you ho bag!

I'm tired. Will probably nap. Can't even go out tonight cuz I've got 9:30-4 again tomorrow. At least I can catch the Leafs game or somethin tho cuz I am done for the day!

The first snow today! I'm not particularly happy about it cuz it means cold, shovelling, and bad road conditions (aka me not drivin anymore). But it also means my bday and Christmas is comin. Then again, Christmas means the MAD SHOPPIN RUSH and that scares me. Also, not too thrilled about my bday comin only cuz of the age thing :S I love the partyin part of it, I just don't wanna turn another yr old.

I think it's been reconnection week or somethin cuz I've been gettin calls from Fish, Meen, P, and saw Kenny (Pris' bro) and Kendall at work. Me and Fish settled our whole bday thing...we're gonna do a collabo and mash the 2 bdays together on the Sat. OMG, 1 more week!

Got today off. But it doesn't look like I'll be goin anywhere except to get together with P cuz we haven't caught up.

I came into work yesterday and Evan ran towards me and was like, I'm SO glad to see you! Cuz he had been there by himself the whole day and wanted relief for the rest of his shift, haha. Except he was off an hr into my shift and I was shittin bricks that I was gonna be by myself til 9 and then CLOSE by myself!! That's not cool! I just finished training, man. You don't do that to a newbie. But then Kane came and then I did the "I'm SO glad to see you!" thing, haha. I helped out another newbie in the Entertainment section too. She had to take her mandatory break and there was no one else in her dept so the manager asked that I take over til she got back. I got all these ppl askin about Xbox and games, etc, and I don't know shit! And you know that looks bad for the store/company cuz it seems like their employees are totally clueless. And if you say it's not your dept so you don't know, then it makes it seem like bad service. But I got thru it. We're all floundering, haha. I still have way too much to learn about my own dept. And I never really got any product knowledge training so today will be all about studyin all the shit on the website. *Sigh*

I used to be fun and exciting, I really was.

Work work work. That's all I seem to be doin these days. Plus my internet wasn't workin for a couple days. Anyway, the only way I can remember my week is by goin day by day so here we go...

Tues I went to the mall with L to get my pants for work. I found a pair at Jacob that were actually nice for 20 bucks :) There was a better one at American Eagle but for like $60 and these are just to wear at work so there's no need to splurge. I don't even wear khaki-coloured anythin, hence me not owning any pants and havin to go out and buy some. Then L came back to my house and watched the Leafs game.

Wed and Thurs was the training thing at Head Office in frickin Brampton. A few of us goin on those days were supposed to meet in front of the store at 8:30 am so we could carpool with whoever was drivin. It was Shane, some dude I didn't know named Ken, and Travis who L knew from her last job. The driver didn't show up so Shane ended up drivin anyway. Yeah, so turns out Ken is the same guy that L was talkin about who she saw in the break room with the other trainees. She said he was talkin about bein a director or whatever and got kinda confrontational/defensive about someone who had laughed or somethin at that. She said he looked like a porn director, haha. And when I saw this guy, he really did look like one. I don't mean to judge by appearance but he had long-ish greasy-lookin hair slicked back, a scruffy beard goin on, and wearin a leather jacket. And definitely older than any of us. Turns out he was an alright guy tho...but a lil weird.

Anyway, the first day was alright. We met ppl from other stores and got along with the peeps from the Scarborough West store cuz we were all sittin at the same table. We had Rubik's Cubes, Play-Doh, and markers to play around with (to get the creative juices flowin I guess). But it was hrs and hrs of pretty much the same training we've already done. Guess they really wanted to hit that stuff home. It could've been worse but it was in no way fun. Gettin up at 8, doin that all day, then drivin home at 5 is a drag. When I was goin home that Wed, it was dark out already and felt like it was 9:00.

Then we had to do it all over again on Thurs. Except it felt more excruciating that day cuz we knew what we were in for and really, I don't think it needed to take up 2 days. The DSM promised we'd get out earlier and we did but everybody was moanin and bitchin at like 2:00 :P All in all, not bad cuz we get paid.

Thurs night me and G went downtown to watch a premiere of Just Friends cuz Al gave me a free pass. It is the funniest movie I have ever seen. I love Ryan Reynolds! "Forgivenesssss!" Hahaha.

I had Fri off but I had to get up early the next day so we just went to Timmy's that night. I've become so lame.

Then Sat, holy crap. 8 am meeting, then my regular shift til 4. That was a long day, but it wasn't too bad cuz I actually got some sleep the night before and they had coffee, plus L was workin too. I bought a pack of blank CDs with employee discount ;) They were doin prize draws in the morning and L won a $50 gift card. She was chanting her name for them to call and sure enough, they called it, haha.

Me, G, and L went to Shoeless to watch the game. Leafies won and we had some good convos too cuz I just don't seem to see G, or even L for that matter, much anymore. And I got extremely buzzed. Nice way to end a day of work *thumbs up*.

Work all over again the next day. Normal 12-6 somethin shift on a Sun. The family that came to me for a digital camera bought like a grand worth of stuff! I love them! But I'm not on commission so that went to David (coworker who helped) and I got the PSP. Their Product Service Plan was 100 dollars so I get 12%...an extra $12 earned for that day :)

Mon was work and I had today off. The days I don't work consist of things like doin laundry, watchin tapes to catch up on my TV shows, and other random house-contained errands. It feels so good to have a chill day. I'm such an old woman. Work is life, OMG.

That was long. Sorry. That's a lot of stuff for someone who, really, doesn't do anythin these days :P
