Wow I had just about the worst morning but this turned out to be a pretty damn good day!

I always seem to be like, oh I have half an hr to be at work, what could take so long? Then I'm late :P So I was rushin and had all this stuff to carry in my hands like my coffee, purse, papers, car keys, garage door opener, and my boots, and shit just keeps on droppin and it's frustrating me to no end. Probably cuz I'm gonna PMS soon, I just know it, haha. There's always this time period right before where everythin seems to go wrong and it royally pisses me off.

Then when I got to the store, I realized I forgot my locker key. Friggin hell. Couldn't put my purse away, didn't have any of my sales tools (name tag, sticky notes, PSP rate chart, PSP booklets), not even a pen! Ugh. I texted L cuz yesterday she said she'd come by. We share a locker so she has a key too but she was already out and didn't have it.

So anyway, while at work I have all these little tasks to do and it's impossible to get them done if I have customers to tend to. And the lil morning meetings take up all the time right up until the store opens so I don't get anythin done even tho I'm there half an hr before opening. Plus I don't like doin them in the first place (like scannin stuff to reprint those damn tags I was talkin about before...it's like a gremlin comes in the middle of the night and steals them randomly). It actually wasn't too busy in the beginning so I figured it was gonna be just another day where I don't make money and another reason for any of the higher-uppers to say somethin to me.

It started to pick up later. L came to visit. Then it was crazy busy and it was only me in the dept and I just couldn't handle it, haha. Esp when I hafta sort thru all the FREAKIN boxes of loose accessories that need to go with demo models that I'm tryin to sell to someone. It goes like: Unlock cage, haul cardboard box out, rummage thru bags and bags of accessories, don't find the right stuff, put the box back, haul another box out, rummage some more, unlock another cage, haul box out, rummage, leave boxes on floor and cage doors open, run to the warehouse in the back, search, run back, deal with customers on the side who need my help too, tryin to put some boxes back and lock the cages so there aren't any theft issues. It's fun.

I called Kane in desperation cuz he knows more than I do (and probably hides the accessories :P) cuz he was somewhere in the store but in a meeting or somethin. So he helped a customer buyin a load of stuff with a demo camcorder...that goes on my Clearance/Open Box percentage AND I got PSP :) Clarence heard about it and shook my hand and said congrats when he saw me, haha.

So I got that, some cameras, and a PDA. Then my shift was done but Kane asked a couple more mins while he took a smoke :P So I headed back to my dept with my coat and purse when this man was bein ignored by David as he walked past so I asked if I could help. Turns out he was the nicest guy and was bein apologetic that I was takin the time to help him when I was about to go home. So I got that sale of a printer/fax dealy and ended up makin 100 somethin dollars total today, woo! Not surprisingly, I was there later than scheduled but these days I know not to expect to be gone right when my time's up.

But I made good commission, today's pay day, and it's the weekend, HOLLA.

I'm hungry right now, gonna make a grilled cheese cuz there is nothing to eat in this place!

Back from my non-shift :P How wicked would that be, to come in when you wanted, work as long as you liked, then left, haha. Everybody was like, what're you doin? Haha.

That hr or so was the best ever. I saw Paula, who had quit and didn't even say bye to me when she did. I miss her. (I only just realized that I am now the only girl in sales in the whole store)

So I asked Ali if the lady came by yet and she DID! She had come early and I just missed her! I was like, OMG I came in just for her. And Ali had for some reason talked to her about another camera instead of the one she originally wanted which we put on hold for her. But he said she was gonna take it to work, try it out, and probably will return it. I was like, well OK, if she's gonna return it, I don't care care cuz it wasn't under my code. I stuck around for a bit just for the hell of it. If I missed that woman, than at least I could try to get some sales cuz I know I wasn't make anythin on my shift later on :P I guess that's kinda the good thing about bein commissions, you can work whatever hrs you wanna come in and rack up the sales even tho you're technically scheduled for a measly 3 hrs that night. That's if you wanna be at work those extra hrs of course.

So this other lovely woman came up askin for a photo printer so I got that sale plus she bought PSP with it so I love her! That made up for it, cuz at least I made some money while I was there so gettin up today wasn't for nothing.

Then the first woman ended up returning the camera! I didn't know she'd be back so soon :P Good thing I didn't leave right away. She ended up gettin accessories too so that rocked. I had hoped since I was doin the personal touch thing (you know, rapport and attention), the odds would be better that I could swing PSP too. She didn't get it but that's OK. I'm pretty much just happy to have a pleasant customer. I just hafta CT the sale over to myself from Ali now.

Work was work. Did some good old-school merchandising. I remembered how much I don't miss it, hurtin my fingers with Spider-Wraps and restockin and puttin things where they belong which takes forever cuz customers are pure lazy and can't put shit back where they got it. The camera case area is a bitch to clean up and organize. And WHO keeps takin all the effin price tags??? I print them out again and again and they always go missin.

Anyways.

The Olympics have been over for a while, haha. Just thought I'd comment on that. Go Canada with the medal count! Didn't get to catch a lot of the coverage but I tried to watch what I could. I like the Winter ones. The only boring events are curling, cross-country skiing, and biathlon.

What else....oh the Oscars. You'd think takin film in school, I'd be into it but meh. It's too long of a program and most of it's boring chatter and actors I don't care about. And I usually haven't seen most of the movies that are nominated. But Crash won for best picture! :) I've been wantin to buy the DVD for a while but I can't find the full screen version anywhere.

I hafta go in to work tomorrow around 12, tho I'm not scheduled til 6 :P I'm comin in for this lady who I helped over the weekend. She wanted to get a camera for her daughter and wanted me specifically to get the commission so I gave her my card and she'd be back later in the week. All the guys in Comm dealt with it and they told me she was comin in on her lunch on Wed but they didn't know what time I was workin so. I know it's a for sure sale so I'll be there! If this nice woman is seekin me out then the least I can do is come in when it was convenient for her. So I'm gonna go to work, finish up in an hr, then go home, then go back for my regular shift waaaay later. Am I a super employee or what? Customer service, baby! ;)

Aw, I'm a blog neglecter. That will be corrected right about now.

Where did I leave off? Ah yes, the mall...where those butts only spent about a grand total of an hr actually shoppin. So yeah, didn't buy anythin yet again.

Work Fri. More of the same. Don't remember anythin...memorable...that happened that day :P Oh yeah, my shift was open to 4 but I ended up stayin an hr longer AND didn't even get to take my half-hr break all day. I'm surprised I actually didn't die. I didn't have breakfast and ate 'lunch' at 5ish when I got home.

Yeah, so the gen. manager did make a mistake with my schedule. He realized me havin a Sat shift wasn't right and said I could take it off if I still wanted and Kane will just stay a bit longer to cover. I figured forget it, I'll make some money on Sat, go out later, and still have Sun off. And it all worked out so meh!

Didn't have dinner til almost 11:00. STARVING! Me, L, Vick, and Alex went to WEGZ for a bar night out. I'm a bit tired for details so that's that. Oh, we had a great time bein confused and shocked and makin fun of these girls at the table behind us for havin some weird business goin on with their hair high up and random claw clips.

Sat I was lovin the fact that I didn't have work til 3. But that also meant that I was closing at 9. After work, me, Al, and her friend Laura headed downtown for some other friend of Al's bday. We hit Fabrik cuz he was doin some promoting there. Apparently it was Hpnotiq night so they had free samples, mints, and glow sticks. That was interesting. Not much to speak of there. It's a nice place if you just wanna sit and chill. The music could've been better...the DJ was hot but he kinda sucked. We snapped a shot or 2 of him as we waited for better songs to come on, haha. And of ourselves of course - "Take a good picture, girls...cuz this is the last time we're gonna be here!" Haha

Greg from hs was there! I haven't seen him since...hs :P The dude is married.

We got some free shots from the bday boy but we bounced later on. We tried This Is London ($25, no thank you) and Level (ummm...drama out front, somethin about bouncer puttin a chokehold on a guy's wife?). We ended up at Original Motorcycle Cafe, which used to be Indian. I guess it was a PC name change? Which doesn't really make sense cuz they still sell Indian Motorcycle stuff there. Anyway, that was interesting too. We're pretty sure we crashed some kind of company party, haha. But the bartender chick made some awesome Krispy Krunch shots for me tho!

After clubbin, we came back up and went to Golden Griddle. 24 hrs, nice! I didn't go to bed til 5 am.

So Sun, was lovin the fact I had no work :) Damn, how would I ever have made it to work the next day if I went to sleep that same morning? :P

I was all excited that I had Sun totally off to go shoppin. Isn't it a sad case when I'm amped to go to the mall only cuz I actually have the time to? Not that it mattered cuz I was empty-handed AGAIN. What is goin on?? It's not like I wasn't lookin! Well I bought Mean Girls on DVD for my sister's bday comin up :P

I decided this wasn't right and somethin had to be purchased. I was drivin home and work was on the way so I thought I'd drop by to see L, Evan, and Godwin. I got my cell phone cases that I forgot in the break room the day before from L, topped up my cell account with a $30 card, and bought a case for my digital camera and a new battery for my cordless phone on discount. Normally it would've come out to about $40 but I paid less than 20 including tax with staff purchase, rock on!

And today was the 1st day of my week of 6-9 shifts where I will make no money in commissions whatsoever. But of course I don't care all that much cuz there's jack I can do about that. I just ride out my 3 hrs with Evan. I didn't even notice it was closin time while I was finishin up with a customer. Sweet surprises.

Rinse, repeat. I dunno why I'm kinda tired right now, I was fine earlier. Off to bed for me. And sleepin in tomorrow, mmmmm :)
